Why therapy?
Aliyah, expat life and integration
Aliyah is often a heartfelt project, yet settling in can be harder than expected. Talking it through in your own language, with someone who knows Israeli reality, makes a real difference.
What olim often go through
- Loneliness, losing your bearings and your network of family and friends
- The language barrier, feeling incompetent, losing professional status
- Strain in the couple when one partner adapts faster than the other
- Children and teenagers struggling at school or withdrawing
- Guilt towards family left behind, or wanting to go back
- Stress about the security situation, harder to cope with far from what you know
How I help
As someone who made the move to Israel herself, I know the stages of integration from the inside. The work can be individual, as a couple or as a family, and can take the form of coaching when the question is mainly professional: changing careers, looking for work, self-confidence in a new environment.
Sessions take place in Tel Aviv or online, so you can also start before your aliyah or from another city.
Frequently asked questions
Can I start before my aliyah?
Yes. Online sessions let you prepare your move from abroad, then continue in the office once you arrive.
My child isn't adjusting to school in Israel. What can I do?
It is common in the first months. A consultation helps understand what is blocking (language, friends, anxiety) and helps parents support them. Family therapy can also help the whole family.
Are sessions reimbursed?
Some supplementary and private health insurance plans reimburse part of the cost of a private psychologist. Check with your own plan.
