Why therapy?
Depression and burnout
Tiredness that won't go away, no desire for anything, the feeling of barely holding on: it is not a lack of willpower, and it can be treated.
Recognising the signs
- Sadness or emptiness most of the time, for more than two weeks
- Loss of interest and pleasure, withdrawal
- Intense fatigue, sleep or appetite problems
- Difficulty concentrating, feeling worthless or guilty
- At work: exhaustion, cynicism, reduced effectiveness, feeling you can't cope any more
How I help
Therapy helps you understand what led to the exhaustion, regain energy step by step and restore what protects you: sleep, limits, activities that do you good, relationships. Depending on your situation, I combine CBT and a psychodynamic approach. When burnout is work-related, coaching can then help prepare a return to work or a career change.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between burnout and depression?
Burnout is exhaustion linked to work. It can develop into depression, which affects every area of life. Both can be treated, and a psychologist helps tell them apart.
How long does recovery take?
It varies, from a few months to longer. The important thing is not to wait until you are completely exhausted before seeking help.
Should I also see a doctor?
If symptoms are significant, a medical opinion is useful. I work with doctors and psychiatrists when needed.
